What we collect, and what we do with it.

The short version

Joe's Tech Solutions is a one-person company in San Diego, California. This site collects an email address if you give us one, the details you type into an intake form if you fill one in, and whatever you type into the chat assistant. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, as every host does. That is all of it.

Nothing here is sold, rented, or shared with anyone for advertising. There is no account to create and nothing to log into.

What we collect, and only when you act

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the email address you type and which page you subscribed from. Nothing else — no name, no tracking pixel in the emails.

If you fill in an intake form, we store what you type into it: your name, your email address, the kind of setup you are asking about, and what you want to use it for. You choose what goes in those boxes.

If you email us, we have your email and whatever you wrote, the same as any email. The contact page is a plain mail link — it has no form on it, and nothing is submitted through that page.

We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, or payment details anywhere on this site.

The chat assistant

The chat widget is an AI agent. What you type into it is sent to our own agent service at cloudyjoe.com, which passes it to a third-party language-model API to produce a reply. That provider processes your message on our behalf; it is not given your details for its own purposes.

The widget also offers a voice mode. If you turn it on, your microphone audio is streamed to Google's Gemini Live API to produce a spoken reply and a transcript, in the same way your typed messages are processed. Voice mode only activates if you turn it on — the default is text.

Do not put anything confidential into it, spoken or typed. It is a sales assistant on a marketing site, not a secure channel — treat it the way you would treat a message to a stranger who works at the company.

If you give it your email address so that Joe can follow up, that is a deliberate act on your part, and it is handled the same way as anything else on this page.

Analytics

This site is built with three optional measurement tools, and we disclose all three whether or not they are switched on: Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which count page views and page timings without cookies and without building a profile of you, and Google Analytics, which collects anonymised usage data and sets its own cookies under Google's terms where it is enabled.

At the time of writing, none of the three is collecting anything. We checked the pages actually delivered, not just the source: no analytics script is served and no analytics cookie is set. We describe all three anyway rather than list only what runs today, because which of them is active can change with a deployment and you should not have to re-read this page to find out.

All three are blockable with any tracker blocker, and the site works identically without them. We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or session recording, and have no plans to.

Where it is stored, and who can see it

Newsletter subscriptions and intake submissions are stored in a Supabase database that we control. Access is limited to Joe.

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Hosting providers keep their own request logs, which include IP addresses, in the ordinary course of serving a website.

Other than the services that process what you send us — our host, our database, and the model behind the chat assistant — we do not share anything. We do not sell or rent anything to anyone, and nothing goes to other clients, partners, or advertisers.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Intake submissions are kept while we might reasonably still be talking about the work, and deleted when you ask.

There is no automatic expiry, because pretending to a retention schedule nobody enforces would be a claim we could not keep.

Client Google Business Profile data

For clients who buy our local visibility work, we read public information about their Google Business Profile — reviews, questions, posts, and where the listing ranks in search results — using a third-party data provider.

Where a client asks us to manage their listing, they add us as a Manager on their own Google Business Profile, or grant access through Google's own consent screen. They stay the owner, we never receive their password, and they can remove that access at any time from the same screen they granted it in.

That data is used to produce that client's own report and drafts, and for nothing else. It is never pooled across clients or used to inform anyone else's work.

What you can ask for

Email [email protected] and ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. We will do it and tell you when it is done.

You do not need to give a reason and you do not need to cite a regulation. If you are in California, the UK, or the EU you have these rights in law; we would do it anyway.

There is no form and no account to log into — an email is enough.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too. This page is written from what the site's code actually does — if you ever find it describing something the site does not do, tell us and we will fix it.
